it happens every time i get either one of the fruits, it happened today but its been happening for a week or two. after you eat one all you can do is dash forward but u can't move in any other direction

the only other thing i can tell you is it doesn't matter how u obtain the fruit it always happens right after you eat it, and it doesn't matter if you use a controller or keyboard it still won't let u move, i'll try to get a video of it but no promises

Just had the same thing happen got stamina fruit from the princess before going into new zone underwater and now cant move character at all

It doesn't happen to me, I have had 2/3 stamina fruits so far. I started a new game on last January. I am playing on intel HD laptop though.

Didn't happen to me either. I just got the fruit from the museum and the one from the goddess and everything was just fine.
Did you wait for the cutscenes to play out?

This is happening to me too. Posted a Bug report in the thread on Steam. TLDR, I managed to find a tedious workaround where you might have to wait a while before triggering the cutscene. Got the bug in Fall 20. Managed to not bug in Winter 20.

Considering this thread was opened in January, I am very disappointed that its still around.

Hi this is also happening to me. I just received my first stamina fruit from the princess mermaid as i was entering the deep sea. I am not sure if it is something wrong with the cutscene of when you receive the fruit. it tells me i receive the fruit, i eat it and then everything freezes and it looks like the UI gets buggy. i pressed escape a few times and then the UI came back - i could use all my tools and i can eat but i cant move or dash anywhere. I was stuck in that same spot. I waited until the day passed because i didnt want to lose my progress earlier in the day. after it saved and i woke up by my bed, i was still stuck and unable to move. restarting the game fixed me being stuck. I hope this info helps for you devs, im sorry i didnt think to video.

Same exact issue as @sparklemelia restarted multiple times tried, tried skipping cutscene, tried everything except letting day tick over and saving.

Can confirm this is still an issue, exactly as @sparklemelia described; I too am unable to enter the Deep Sea because after the princess gives me a stamina fruit I'm unable to move. The cutscene plays normally, I'm brought back to the overworld and told I received a stamina fruit, I immediately eat it, all of the on-screen UI disappears and I can no longer move or change direction. I can still swing my tool if I'm holding one (but only in the direction I'm facing), and entering/exiting the pause menu brings back the UI, but I cannot move or call the anchor to me to escape. It does not seem to matter what day or time of day it is, or whether I'm using a keyboard or controller. I don't have the ability to get a video recording of this but hopefully this is a clear description of the problem.

[UPDATE]: Figured out how to record video with the Steam Overlay, I'll send an email. Also confirmed that waiting until the day ends, allowing the game to save, closing the game and reopening it allows you to move again. In my case the game opened in the barracks with the UI restored, and I was able to swim around the room as normal.
