why can't i buy plant seeds in winter . help me

From other answers you need to raise the town rank, I thought it was to D, but some have said it is to C. And then Sam sells seeds in the store.

You will need bronze ranked animal products or crops to get access to some areas.

I did all that but I had to drop some of my horded goods (just basic selling for money, not completing quests) before I went up to C, almost at B

That is pretty annoying, as all other seeds are sold in the right season... now I am really stuck for one year to get the greenhouse? Please have that changed... make the seeds avaliable in the season they can be planted (of course within the town rank).

It seems like Wild Seeds can grow in Winter, maybe someone can confirm that, I just planted one the other day to see if something grow and it already has a little sprout.

Yes, I collect so many Wild Seeds just to prepare for winter season. It's worked.

Complete the other 5. If you've done 5 shrines, all (35? I think) ocean beacons, and donated 100+ things to the museum, you should hit C rank. Make sure you do it before mid fall, or you won't actually have time to grow the watermelon.

One trick is to upgrade your hoe and just go to town on the beach and the paths. You will get tons of coffers and books you can donate. And a ton of wild seeds, although if you plant those in winter all you'll get are tea.

Agreed, winter was busy for me. Upgrading tools, planning and expanding fields, mining, fishing, diving.... This coming winter will be even busier, as I'll be able to plant winter crops, and I should have my greenhouse by then, too.
