Most players hang out in discord where we can talk quickly with the devs and each other. No need to wait for posts to be approved and then hope for answers.
I'm not 100% sure what you mean, it is writing in discord. There are some voice channels, but few use them, everything is typed.
I also have the same problem with discord - some popular channels have 100s of messages in just a couple hours, and after a whole day it's almost impossible to catch up.
Here it's at least many different discussions - you can chose what to read and answer.
In discord it's all-in one - how to keep track?
Yes, I know that sub-channels exist for many groups, but in most of them they are dedicated to , say, memes or animals or whatever themed topics, and everything else goes in main group.
And besides - not everyone is willing to use Discord, or reddit, or whatever else social media you will have. Game is on Steam - so everyone who is playing can use Steam. Whatever else someone wants to use - good for them, but Steam should be, at least at that point in time, main platform for posting updates and news and such.
^ That's exactly what I think.
I agree. There are a lot of people who don't trust Discord and then there are those of us who don't like the hoop jumping, rules, cliques, etc. that always seem to surround any Discord channel. I much prefer to read either forums or a list of what the devs have planned or a bug list.
