Also Alice prefered color: I asume she can´t tell Suki. Maybe Suki is the one, who is thinking Alice likes pink stuff. And Alice is to polite to tell her.
And don´t talk about Walter. I don´t know if he really knows anyones preferences.
So if you proceed with the story and you get to know the quirks of the townies, it all makes sense kinda.
But maybe it is just me, because i like this game so much :)
