Tree planting festival: It's done, no trees left to plant

I was on the Tree planting festival and I was suprised when I saw that "down" it was full with trees and looked really nice. Also when I wanted to start the festival there was writen: "All trees are planed. Nothing left to do."

Only thing I could do was leaving the festival .....

Is this ... normal?

I kind of hope they let us skip the tree-planting festival after that, at least eventually. So far I wouldn't dare, even if I go through all of that just to end the thing have lost a day, because I'm not sure if we can lose hearts in this game and some npcs are really not happy with us if we don't have our character there for the festival.

do you need to use energy for the festival? and... after spamming a to talk to people and mistakenly start the festival main event without doing the side bits... forced quit this morning.

Just dont attend the festival, the only thing you "lose" is the merits points for attending the festival.
