Is Town Rank S the official ending before the sandbox mode?

I'm happy to say that I've reached Town Rank S after 122.5 hours on 22 Winter Year 2! Hooray! So I suppose once I've seen the cut scene with the villagers celebrating, that's the end of the main questline before it enters sandbox mode?

I realize that there are loads of Steam achievements to work towards, but I want to make sure that I've completed all the main content before I focus on those. :)

Thanks for developing this stellar game. I've had an absolute blast playing it. To my mind, the game is now what it should have been on the 1.0 release. If anyone is reading this who is considering getting the game, it is indeed complete and comes to a very satisfying conclusion (to my mind).

how are you level S? I'm stuck at 1499/1584 point and I think I've done everything lol. My museum, ocean and attraction are S already. My Heritage is still A but I don't know what I need to do anymore lol.

I do have one quest left open, which is Chaperone 4. I guess, if you're already done with that, there is no more story left. At least I am like 2 seasons in after reaching rank S and so far there was no further story introduced, which leaves me rather confident in saying that this might as of now be the end before sandbox mode. I mean, if you haven't done yet, there are still the achievements and unlocking all seed and produce upgrades etc.

I actually reached it fairly quickly after the latest major update and before the hot fixes were introduced. Might be that the hot fixes introduced an issue as I saw people reporting not being able to reach rank S afterwards?
