how much quicker is the cellar?
just reached rank A for the first time and got the cellar key, i already have a shed with autochests and beehives and ageing barrels making me cactus mead slowly but surely, how much quicker is the cellar compared to just using the shed, are the beehives quicker in the cellar or just the ageing barrels, at the moment it seems to take over a day to make honey and then about 6 days to make a mead, so basically 7-8 days per bottle, so if i move it all into the cellar how much quicker is it as im sure i read some place using the cellar makes ageing barrels work quicker, but does it half it from 6 to 3 days, or is it worse or better then that

Why should bees want to be in a cellar? I don't think that's a good idea

i think its 20%? but i am not sure.. but keep in mind Cellar (& sheds since 1.1) will affect only Aging Barrels & both types of slime machines (replicator & transmutation) with this 20 %

So if it’s 20% instead of taking 6 days to make wine it basically knocks it down to about 5 days so it’s not that great I think I will just leave my shed set up as it is then if that’s the case I was expecting it to be a feature of A rank where it maybe halved the time to take to make wine

To be fair, the cellar don't have much influence because of sunlight itself for beejhive. I put my solar pannels there and they still make bateries normally

Is the cellar fully functional now? In the Beta test it was next to useless...

I used it a ton in beta, what didn't work for you?

Hi Piper, thanks for your reply.

I couldn't move any of the machines down there, the lower part of the floor, (down the second set of stairs), was out of bounds, and the machine status flag was visible when I was above ground.

Yeah, the lower part is still unavailable, but the upper part worked normally. I duped my dino prints and raised the quality of stuff needed for the offerings. I did have the machine status for a dino print visible any time I opened my inventory, but that was fixed in a hotfix, it didn't last long.

Thanks Piper

I think some machines work 20% faster down there, so the benefit is worthwhile. Were you able to move around the provided machines to a better position, or were they fixed in place (like mine were)

I wanted to string together some autochests with ageing barrels etc... to maximise the benefits, but in the end I gave up and just carried on with my buggy sheds.

They were fixed in place during beta. I just used the shed for my auto stuff, so I never tried setting them up in the cellar. I can try on my old save when I get off work tonight and see if they are still stuck in place.

Thanks, it would be useful to know that...

You can reposition everything in the cellar on the upper floor.

If you need video proof, see here: https://steamcommunity.com/app/1158160/discussions/0/4522261544803061916/?tscn=1722451773 ;)
As Suranick said and linked. They can be moved now.
I just did on my save b4 i headed to work.
Im just curious when the lower part of the cellar will be ours since i dont really use discord and thus cant check on their uppdates im told happens there

i still think getting to rank A which is a quite a grind to get to, to then have the cellar which we only get access to the top half? maybe the bottom half will get unlocked in an update, but to save about 1 day of the grind of making bottles i really dont think thats worth it, it be nice if they changed it to go from 6 days per bottle to 3 days, like your actually getting something good for getting to rank A, im happy with my sheds and the setup i have going not to waste my time moving it all for the sake of 1 in game day
