Making Mr. Turnip Feel At Home?

I was wondering if someone could help me. Mr. Turnip is wandering around my farm looking super cute – if a bit bewildered – and I was wondering what I could do to make him feel at home. I got him an outdoor pet house because mythical pets live outside, I see, but he won't go in it. He just wanders around.

When I pet him, he seems happy. But I'm a bit worried because I don't know how to take care of him. Do I give him food and water, or is he just happy to chill while wandering around my farm? Or does he snatch a veggie or two when I'm not looking? :D

He doesn't use any pet house, but there are some small tropical looking pagoda buildings that look immersive, and would likely be the sort of home he would want...

That's a great idea! I just feel bad not having a home for him or feeding him or giving him water or whatever a turnip pet needs. :) That's a good solution, thanks.
