Sack Race
Ok... For a casual game... wtf? I've completed the third race of the competition with 100% perfect clicks five times in a row. I got a 30.19, 30.22, 30.30 and various others in that range. I'm losing every time to NPCs getting .03-.05 faster than I am. I'm literally getting -perfect runs-. I'm ending with zero stamina, falling at the finish line (have also tried tiny sliver of red with no falling, which was slower), so I'm also getting perfect stamina refills and still losing. This is really stupid.

Yeah quite a few of the games are really not fun to play at all, esp given it's the only way to get a large Merit point payout. It's a shame there's not an easy mode.

Are you in your first year? This game makes it impossible to win in the first year. I know cos I did the same as you and was pissed. In the 2nd year when you got a lot of stamina you can just spam the thing without resting and you'll win for sure. Not just this mini game but quite a few of the mini games are impossible to win in the first year imo.

You CAN win first year if you drink a jamu first. It raises your stamina pool and you can win pretty easily. Same with the tug of war and swimming in summer.

swimming can also be cheased by simply spamming one of the buttons Q/R.
I always ONLY spam Q and win 100% every time even during year one.

Ahh yeah, if the game would give some sort of indication that out-of-minigame mechanics are at play, that might have mitigated some of my anger. Yes, in year 1. Still, a minigame that is played perfectly in this genre should still be winnable, even without use of in-depth in-game knowledge, imo. Will keep that in mind for tug of war and swimming- thanks for the tip!

Certainly not enjoying any of the minigames so far. Came looking for posts after losing the sack race 5 times in a row and being eliminated in the 1st round each time as the NPC's behave flawlessly each time. It's just not fun. This is a single player game, I am only competing against myself and looking for a fun experience and this is not it.

Tbf. the stamina bar for the sack race is the exact same number as your stamina bar for the rest of the game. but they def probably should add a pop-up or something explaining that.
