Items disappearing from AutoChests and AutoChest randomly stop working

I have never had this problem before, Auto Chests always worked great for me.

But since a few (real time) days ago they randomly stop working until I remove and replace them (exact same location and suddenly they work again... until the next (in game) day and then they stop emptying and filling the artian machines again??
And now items suddenly disappear. I lost two 999 stacks of sugar cane, two 100 stacks of pineapple AND two 100 stacks of lilys. Thats a whooole ton of money just gone! They are entirely gone even when reloading the game.

Did anyone else encounter this issue? Did it only start with the new hotfix updates or did someone have this happen before?

FYI - I thought this was happening with my chests too. Then I discovered I'd scrolled down in the list. I, somehow, hit my middle button that is a scroll wheel? Anyway, the auto chests seem to have a lot more room in them than they did before. Wish there as a static "big chest" version.

I purchased the upgrade a few days ago in-game. Today they stopped working. I happened to go into the lab and now it shows that I need to buy the upgrade again (heck if I'm spending 60K again). So now none of my autochests work.

I also just purchased the upgrade... and yeah, they do not really work. I also checked in the lab and it shows me that I have not bought the automation chest.
But I have the blueprint and can craft as many as I want. Not that they are working...

I could buy it in the Lab again for 60K, but I already did and have some on my farm, but they sometimes work, sometimes not… I have the feeling, that they are missing items. I empty them, remove them, put them down again and sometimes they work for a short time again… then stop working again :( also have the blueprint etc..

Any news about this problem or a workaround or solution???

I have this problem too, but for me.. They seem to work few moments in the morning, but do not try putting anyting into the machines. Its not all chests, some chests work, some don't, so I have no clue what is problem here, but it is.. slowly getting annoying.

I mean this all would be okay, if it’s an early access game.. but this one is fully released and still we have to deal with so many problems. I really love the game, but also I hate it 😅 i am into this game for sooooo many years and can’t describe, how many time is (have to) restarted it over and over again… cleaned the ocean sooo many times…

And then I was done.. I waited.. didn’t want to restart.. after the full release.. I waited, because there was still so much missing. I restarted again - a last and final time - after 1.1, thinking it’s time, they are far enough now… and still have problems again and again 😅😅 I was really patient with this game for so many years, but if you read all the bugs here…. Ufff.. I don’t know… but I still love it and in my opinion it’s the game with the best looking characters 😅 the only game I couldn’t decide who to marry 😅

To add my earlier post. I found one workaround for autochest by scouring the internet, and hopefully it eases you all too.

Adding extra chest makes it run, for some reason. it creates the conveyor belt thing, and it fixed all issues with the chest for me. Sure, it is bit costly, but atleast they now work and I don't have to restart or always put the chest again and again.

I have recently stopped playing due to this bug. it is new to me as of 1.1, my auto chests always worked fine before, now they are stuttering as well as deleting items and its unacceptable. So much for getting into the new content on my new farm, was just starting to unlock it too. *shrug*

I don't know if it different but my stops work but I discovered it always stops after five o'clock.Then it restarts the next day.

My Chests work one cycle and then just stop, they never refill.

I have 3 chest set-ups:
- on farm, 7 kegs/4 automatic chests,
- on farm, 2 composters/1 automatic chest,
- inside shed, 16 mason jars/8 automatic chests.

For whatever reason, I believe that the composters are not working (were working on the day 1, then stopped). The others seems to deliver as expected.

No resources missing in the mason jar set-up so far (I have 300+ red paprika :P).

I play on 50% speed if that matters.

I manually feeded 2 trash to each composter (and I have 500 more in the chest). After the work is done, the chest took the compost inside, but didn't feed more trash.

same here - tried auto chest for the first time today and it was amazing. unfortunately even the first day some started to stop without any reason... I have usually combination of one chest and two tools (kiln, composter) but I have also two chests connected by conveyor belt together with four jars - most of them stopped already... very sad :-( have not found any way to make them run again, also next day there was no change and majority of them have been stopped
