Cooking bug? SPOILER
I am trying to complete the goddess mural quests,.one of which requires popiah and es doger. I don't have the recipes for either, and adding the ingredients in the correct cooking utensil as listed on the wiki just gives me a failed dish every time
How do I get these??

EDIT 2: so I logged out, cleared my cache, went back in, and THEN it worked! 🤦🏼‍♀️

EDIT: These are the recipes I followed For es doger: in the CERAMIC BOWL;
Syrup Syrup × 1
Sweet potato Sweet potato × 1
Milk Milk × 1 or
Large milk Large milk × 1
Any coconut Any coconut × 1

I followed this recipe = FAIL

For the popiah from the wiki: In the SKILLET,
Some game versions are still having this as recipe:
Bamboo shoot Bamboo shoot
Carrot Carrot
Shrimp Shrimp or
Crab crab

OR
"However, if this recipe does not work, it might be cooked by Rice flour, carrot, shrimp or crab."
Both recipes have = a failed dish for me. Yes, I clicked in the green window, as you are supposed to, and haven't had issues with any other recipes.

The only way youre failing a recipe is either
a) you arent using the correct ingredients
b) youre spamming the button and not clicking cook when the bar is within the green zone

I am aware of how the game works 🤣 the listed ingredients for both of these dishes in the wiki may be incorrect. That is part of my question. As stated above: "I don't have the recipes for either, and adding the ingredients in the correct cooking utensil as listed on the wiki just gives me a failed dish every time." For es doger: in the ceramic bowl;
Syrup Syrup × 1
Sweet potato Sweet potato × 1
Milk Milk × 1 or

Just a heads up though, as I could be wrong, but...

I'm sure I saw an answer to this, here in Discussions, but it was a long time ago. If memory serves me right, the Wiki is wrong, so that the listed ingredients don't work.

I think it was @Piperbird who gave the definitive answer, perhaps you could DM him?

I followed the recipe you placed Dolosapate...

I think the recipe wants you to place the ingredients as is: First the syrup, then the sweet potato, then the milk and the coconut last.

recipes don't care about the order of ingredients.

I also didn't care about the order of ingredients once, kept getting failed dishes.

The moment I followed the order, kept getting the dishes every single time.

Just tried to mix the order for this one:
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3299635362
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=3299635343

if you are trying to make popiah, it's in a skillet, not a ceramic bowl. That's why it failed.

Es doger is in the bowl. It's syrup, sweet potato, milk, and coconut. Make sure you are using actual sugar cane syrup and not maple syrup. Also make sure you are using only cow's milk, and not milk from a different animal or golden cow's milk.

Yeah, I noticed I made the mistake of doing it in the ceramic bowl and found out that the order of ingredients didn't matter at all.

Popiah is also for sale in Fishensips (through Computer ordering).

Work smarter, not harder.

As stated, I made Popiah in the skillet, yes, ingredients in order, yes, also clicked when green. And it was a FAIL. more than once. So far, I have not been able to order popiah at all from fishnships. I made the es doger in the ceramic bowl, ingredients in order, yes clicking green, also FAIL.

Can you post some screen shots or video? So we can see what you're doing?

I'm on my phone right now at work, but I'm doing the exact thing that I posted above-- selecting the appropriate (according to wiki) utensil (popiah, skillet; es doger, ceramic bowl), putting in the ingredients in order they are listed on the wiki, clicking when the cursor is in the green.

As I said, I have had no issues with other recipes.

I am also failing to make es doger. Same problem as OP. Tried with cane syrup, cow’s milk, sweet potato, coconut. Used the same order. Tried multiple times.

I didn’t have an issue making popiah, but es doger is bugged for me.

You're making it in the ceramic bowl?

Yup! As in OP's case, I am certain it is a bug and not a mistake, unless the recipe changed. I lost a lot of resources attempting multiple times and different possible fixes.
