Fish Pond + Insect House Bug?

Is it just me or the fish pond and the insect house is bug / error right now? it's been around a month in the game and the fish & insect didn't breed at all.

OK then we have that in common. I also started spring year 3.

i asked in the bug report if the other ones have that in common aswell, as this might pin down the problem better

as far as unofficial fixes go, no one knew any

so as things stand now, we can only wait for the dev to fix it, or eventually find a fix ourselves

Is needing two in order to breed a new thing? What if they are different quality? In v1.0 I successfully bred while only starting off with one. Took a long time to fill up with ten, but I definitely only had one to start with.

I can trace the issue back to around the third patch of the 1.1 Beta test. Up until then my two insect houses and two fish ponds were working as expected. After that patch they were bugged as hell. Seems they imported the error into the v1.1 full release. Words fail me. I really love the game and I think the devs try really hard, but I think the skills of the coding team responsible for patching out bugs, have hit a glass ceiling. Maybe their ambitions exceed their talent.

Is anyone else having trouble romancing Suki? I got her to 2 heart seasons ago in the game but I still haven't recieved her email to go to the beach...Is this a bug or is the letter random and what do I do to fix this issue

As far as I know, you need at least 2 or more same kind of fishes / insects to make them breed. (2 become 4, 3 become 6 and so on).

well i got the same proble with the fish pond too. last winter (im on spring rn) i just harvest all the fish but i left 1 fish each pond to breed. Well at first each pond breed 1 fish (so i have 2) then it stopped working untill spring.

I tried to left just 1 fish and still not working.. no breeding at all.

and also my dehydrator not working, i pick axe the machine with full grass inside then it goes to my bag like nothing inside it.

aaaand.. is mangosteen become harder to find since i unlocked the mural quest?

also underwater farm is so tiring

I'm sorry, but as far as v1.0 is concerned, you are mistaken. Before v1.1 was released I managed to catch one osmium quality manta ray, from the stream by the mine. I put that one fish into my breeding pond and it took a long time, but I eventually had ten. At that point, every once in a while I would sell five and make around $12,000. To get the five to turn into ten again didn't take too long, certainly less time than the first five.

Now, with the release of v1.1 it's possible the devs have tweaked how that works, but I haven't seen any devs mention it. It's got to be either that, or it's a bug.

I agree. The underwater farm starts out as a huge grind and time sink. Even unlocking the seeds is problematical, unless you are an OCD hoarder keeping at least 25 of everything you ever caught, foraged, or farmed since Spring Day 1. Without the use of a Wiki guide, how is a new player going to know what needs to be stored for later, or what is safe to sell? I'm planning to carpet my latest farm in chests full of stored loot as soon as I unlock the 40 capacity ones.

Well I always put 5 fishes / insects in the ponds / houses to make it faster to ten. Usually it takes about 4 days for legendary, but yeah idk why it's stuck now for about 1-2 season :/

I was told that the rumour about needing two fish or insects originates from a Reddit post, that was later proved to be false

Now I am having the same problem. Pond and dehydrator are not working. when I crafted the new Dehydrator, it worked.
