after that i got a letter in mailbox (in the day after restart) which lead to another quest i solved, after that finally i got a 2nd letter vom merfolk.
I do not recommend rushing into this underwater farming, because it is a cool novelty, but very demanding and time-consuming if you do not play the game for too long.
Generally, there are several conditions to unlock underwater farming. I do not remember the order, but I will write what you have to do.
First, you have to get city rank A.
Second, you have to get ocean rank A, which means cleaning the entire ocean.
Third, after reaching rank A in the ocean, we get a series of tasks related to Merfolk.
- two tasks are to deliver raw materials, and quite a lot of them (iridium kelps and iridium products from the farm - those of iridium quality)
- you have to go through a ceremony in Merfolk to "become" Merfolk - something like in the movie Avatar :D
Fourth, we get a series of tasks from Merfolk. These tasks are expeditions and last for two (2) months in the game (regardless of the season)
Fifthly, after reaching the A rank of the city, you have to wait for the ceremony in which this rank is announced.
After this ceremony and fulfilling the above conditions, we get a message from Merfolk about the meeting, and here we come to underwater farming.
The problem with underwater farming is that we cannot buy underwater seeds, first we have to create them ourselves from the resources we have, and then sell the collected resources from the crops in the amount of 50 pieces of each variety so that they can be bought.
And to create these seeds, you need to have large amounts of underwater resources (ocean scavengeables), and large amounts of collected resources from farming on land.
In addition, underwater crops need light, and this will provide us with a new item - a wand that "waters" plants with light, something like a watering can (the wand can be upgraded at Cho)
The next tasks with Merfolk are delivering huge amounts of underwater crops to the Merfolk Kingdom, as well as tasks related to the ocean Temple (such as delivering raw materials to the Lake Temple on the surface).
Overall, there is a lot to do and I do not recommend rushing into underwater farming because you can get discouraged :D
