Fruit Trees
The wikia states that a fruit tree requires a 5x5 tiles for growth. I presume this applies when planting an array of fruit trees on different sides.

please correct me if I'm wrong on the following:

- Fruit trees requires their own empty 3x3 square (not 5x5 square). Saplings will not progress their growth, nor bear fruit when fully matured, unless the prior requirement has been met.
- Tiles (Wooden, Stone, makeshift..etc) cannot be placed around those 8 tiles for Debris prevention during seasonal shift. Doing so would prevent growth/fruit bearing during their corresponding season.
- The Area around them cannot be tilled either. And the growing crop would also prevent the tree(s) from growing.
- Finally... The Sprinkler Auto-Harvest, or it's 3-in-1 version, will not collect from fruit trees. This also won't work on saplings either ( the 2x2 version, withering off-season ).

While it is specifically stated that such tiles MUST BE empty, the reasoning for asking this are two:
(1) Debris prevention. If there is nothing I can do about this, then I might just create a walking platform between each tree, for a better visual during view mode.
(2) Guaranteeing growth, while optimising farm space for whichever project I come up with.

Fruit trees need to be on untilled land and fruit plants need to be on tilled land.

Fruit trees do not like to touch the edges of the farm or greenhouse. That might be where that 5x5 figure is coming from, but it's not entirely accurate. Just make sure your 3x3 tree area is one row away from the edge of the farm or greenhouse.

Once the tree is planted, you can decorate all around it and it will still grow normally. You can even use the architect desk to move tiles under the fruit trees, or plant other crops under them if you like. Nothing prevents the tree from growing. If it planted, you're good to go.

Correct, the ASH doesn't work on trees, since they do not need to be watered and cannot be fertilized. They also do not auto collect, you'll need to get out there and kick those trees yourself.

I have no idea what the wiki is talking about, but if it's the fandom wiki, just ignore everything it says. It's fan run and not up to date.

Focus on not placing anything youtself near the tree in the zone described by the tooltip.

Have a completely empty field that's not tilled. Then try planting the tree. If you can't do that, it means that you have to hoe the tile in which to plant it.

After the tree is completely grown it is possible to place stuff closer to it.

You don't have to wait for the tree to be fully grown to decorate around it. I threw up fencing and threw down grass tile as soon as they were planted.

Nice hint. Thanks. I filled the greenhouse with fruit trees and only later thought about planting something between the rows of trees.
