Please can we adopt more than one pet you gave us so many options and it is sad to only have to choose one, like all the other games I would love to have all the types you offer

The devs have stated we will only be able to have two pets - one we adopt and the mythical one.

Our pet system in the game has two components: you can have adoptable pets and mythical pets. To get an adoptable pet, your farm needs to have a pet bed or house. For a mythical pet, you have to advance in the main story. We've designed Dragon and Lembus to act as skins within these two categories. If you don't have a pet bed, the pet will have nowhere to sleep, and this can cause a bug/crash.

And if you unlock the mythical pet before you progress far enough in the cutscene, that creates a race condition, where it will cause a bug with progression because players already have the mythical pet when you're not supposed to, potentially causing issues with the quest meant for acquiring mythical pet.

Each pet's behavior, like where they sleep and how they move around, depends on whether they're an adoptable or mythical pet.

Right now, our farms are set up to hold only two pets each. With the upcoming multiplayer feature, where each player can have two pets, we need to make sure a farm can manage up to eight pets in total. So, we're sticking to the two-pet limit per farmer for now.

same here. They're making me choose between Fizz the ugly catdog whom I love with all my heart and the pretty pink lop-earned bunny. This is cruel. I have a farm, let me have many. All preferably.

Agreed. It's so sad that there are so many pets in the shelter and we can only adopt one :(

same here, would be great to adopt more than one - or to offer some part of the farm to move the shelter there

I too wanted a cat and dog, or maybe a fox. I have a dog now and Sawee. Honestly I would trade the mythical pet for the ability to adopt another shelter pet. Sawee is basically an animated parsnip. She's cute I suppose, but not as nice as the dragon, which I will never be able to obtain as I think it was a backer special. I renamed her Gaia, and mostly she just wanders my farm. She won't even use the pet house I put out on rainy or snowy days. A bit pointless as a pet, really.

I hope y'all add more pets considering so many people want more pets and I don't think many people will use Multi-player. I know I won't, so I hope you guys work on allowing more pets to be adopted. It's kinda BS that we can purchase multiple beds and houses but can't buy multiple pets.

Right now you can have one pet for every house update ... so 4 pets AND a mystical pet, IF your house it at level 4.

I have 3 pets and they drive me crazy a bit cause they are really A LOT around me. If I want to open a chest it happen sometimes that I hug my pet. The dog also barks A LOT. And each time I wake up in the morning I have to hug them all ....
Hope they will fix the pet-system a bit, someday.

I wish there would be MORE mystical pet skins.

One of my goals was to adopt all the pets but since I can't do that I stopped playing. Made me really sad
