Beta, Map of the Savannah

I started the game from scratch, rather than playing one of the beta test games. I reached the point that allowed me to open the Savannah and went through the cutscene with the Giants. I have to find a way to the Savannah cave, but the map is all grayed out. Is there a map for the savannah or do I just give up on the Beta version?

There is no map of the savannah, you just need to learn your way around like in the deep forest. Bring warp sesejans for when you want to leave, it's easier.

They will sell it to you as DLC in 4 years.

Easiest thing is Northwest is the Savannah cave, Southwest is the Savannah ranch vendor / guardian. Main two places you need to be aware of.

Once you complete the Guardian Mural for Heritage Rank S, you'll be able to fast travel right near the Savannah Cave from your farm.

How do you get to level s for everything aside from the town/museum? My ocean is rank a, my museum is a, basically everything is at a for me. Or was level s for everything dropped with 1.1?

Rank S was added in the new patch. Until now we couldn't go past rank A.

You'll get new missions to increase your rank, but they'll drop something like 1-2 weeks so people don't get swamped with new stuff.

If you already completed the four altars, visit the lake temple again. Didn't get a letter for that one, it just seems to trigger when you visit the lake temple again.

Seriously why is there no freaking map for the savanna? It's driving me nuts. Even if no NPC before us has ever reached it (which makes no sense to me) to cartograph the area, we ourselves run through it so it stands to reason that our character should be able to draw a map. I thought we didn't get a map so that the treasure hunt via the maps from the gatcha would be harder but even after finding all treasures there is still no map.
