Here is a list of all the base resources that are needed so far in the 1.1 update. There are no spoilers on this list and it doesn't include any items that are introduced in the 1.1 update. There are seasonal crops that are needed, so it's a good idea to start stocking up now while you can!

I'm not playing the beta (been waiting this long so...), so have to ask: needed for what exactly?

They are needed for the different quest lines (don't want to be too specific to avoid spoilers), new buildings, or new craftables that are introduced. Some of them need a lot of resources that will take a while in game to gather, so if you want you can start prepping now.

Ah... makes sense. Fortunately for me, years of gaming has taught me to hoard everything unless I can easily replace it, so I will probably have all that ready without even looking ahead lol. But nice of you to help the others. :)
