Everything was new to me this run, so it was much easier to get past bugs or incomplete systems in the game. But some of these bugs should have been run into and addressed easily long before it made it out of early access. And something like combat being the way it is feels like it was tacked on last second to appease some folks. So I'm ok waiting until they finish making the game to play it for real. I imagine Stardew on day 1 was probably the same. I didn't get to it until 3 years after it released and tons of these things were probably addressed along the way.
Or maybe its just me. Roots of Pacha was fun w/ the wife for one short playthrough but had a similar issue for us. We ran out of stuff to spend time on rather quickly. I will say that mods have a huge impact on games like this. So I'm excited that they are wanting to support modders in the future. It turns a 30ish hour game into something that can be enjoyed time and again for years.
Seems like someone managed to transfer a save from game pass to steam but not sure if game pass has any backups to use.

If you've been playing that long and completed the mine and farm, it's surprising that you haven't had Ling upgrade the crop quality on your farm. I did that as early as I could to get better sales prices.
Alternatively wait till someone updates the tool you're using to manipulate the game files.
Don't agree that it is a 30 hour game, I don't use mods or cheats and I'm more than 100 hours into the game trying to finish the museum collections.
Completing the story objectives is really what I meant. If I was doing 100% then yes it is probably much longer. For instance, getting perfection in Stardew requires cooking all recipes. Passing time to reach the end of year 2 to learn all recipes from the TV cooking show takes a lot of time but is boring. So if I'm mostly just passing year 2 in this game in order to unlock the greenhouse it would be more frustrating than fun.
There is still more to do in the game, I haven't seen heart events...but I'm also stuck on at least 1 character with that due to a bug that evidently a *lot* of people encountered.
Thank you for that thread, I'll see if I can restore a 10 day old save.
I was able to restore an old save back to Winter 16, which is when my tea leaves were ready to harvest. This was for the game pass version of the game as I do not own it on steam yet. Here is the reddit thread with a user who made the video and posted it in his comment: https://www.reddit.com/r/coralisland/comments/184egn4/lost_tools_while_participating_in_winter_fair/
