Bug - Cockle and Flame Scallop listed as food despite being inedible
I used to be able to eat these two items, but now clicking on them does nothing. Eating everything else still works just fine.

This is actually an un-bug. We were never supposed to be able to eat them.

In that case there's still a bug, in that players are still capable of eating it at some point, it's described as food, and shows how much energy and health you'll gain by eating it. I only started playing Coral Island last week, and as far as I know there hasn't been a patch since then, so they went from edible to inedible with no patch. I've edited the title of the thread to be more reflective of the problem.

Hello! Thank you for your report.
We would like to confirm that previously, you could eat Cockle and Flame Scallops directly; is that correct? May we ask when you could eat them? Does that happen in the Early Access? Thank you!

Yes, I used to be able to eat Cockle and Flame Scallops directly. I was able to eat them in the spring of the first year, I believe, and they stopped being edible sometime in the summer of the first year. It's difficult to remember the time frame. I didn't start playing the game until January 28, so I never played in Early Access.

I also noticed that Clam Shell is not edible, but is also described as a food, and has energy and health restoration numbers listed. I can't remember if I was ever able to eat this.

This seems like a low priority bug but thanks for looking into it anyway!

I see. I've shared your feedback with our team, and they've verified that certain forageable items are indeed edible. Some require cooking, while others can be consumed as is.
Have you experimented with cooking them as well?

Your input is highly valuable to us, and we appreciate your ongoing support for our game. If you encounter any more aspects that you'd like to discuss or report, please feel free to do so. Thank you! :)

I only have a grill so far, so there's not much experimenting I can do. Grilling the flame scallop and cockle just yielded a failed dish.

What you picked that was eatable was from the ocean. There is ones on the beach that can't be eaten.

This screenshot shows the one picked up in the ocean and it's eatable.

That is a blood clam, not a cockle. Also there's nothing that looks like a flame scallop underwater
