Hello! Thank you for your report.
We would like to confirm that previously, you could eat Cockle and Flame Scallops directly; is that correct? May we ask when you could eat them? Does that happen in the Early Access? Thank you!
I also noticed that Clam Shell is not edible, but is also described as a food, and has energy and health restoration numbers listed. I can't remember if I was ever able to eat this.
This seems like a low priority bug but thanks for looking into it anyway!
I see. I've shared your feedback with our team, and they've verified that certain forageable items are indeed edible. Some require cooking, while others can be consumed as is.
Have you experimented with cooking them as well?
Your input is highly valuable to us, and we appreciate your ongoing support for our game. If you encounter any more aspects that you'd like to discuss or report, please feel free to do so. Thank you! :)
This screenshot shows the one picked up in the ocean and it's eatable.

That is a blood clam, not a cockle. Also there's nothing that looks like a flame scallop underwater
