I sell little to no unprocessed produce at this point. It's true that the money is in artisan goods, even as slow as some of them are. From my experience in EA, I knew that honey was an early way to go, so I bought LOTS of flower seeds. Once you get the greenhouse, it really helps with growing the real money makers year round. Melons, pineapple, rice, pumpkins, durian, peach, all make pricey juices and wines or sake. Cactus mead is by far the biggest bang, but don't rule out fairy rose or lily mead as well, especially at osmium level. Also gesha coffee is sweet and faster than wine. I usually make my osmium honey into mead and sell the others as honey. Cactus, fairy rose, lily, snowdrop, and orchids make the best, so when their season comes around, I stock up.
I have 10 beehives, 10 kegs and 17 barrels and that seems to be plenty. I've seen other player's farms with much more, but I think I'd find it hard to manage more than that effectively and honestly, what I have, in conjunction with peafowl feathers, quail mayonnaise, and truffle oil, makes more than enough cash.
Oh, once you can build the insect and fish farms, a couple of great white farms and blue morpho or crowned hairstreak butterfly farms will greatly supplement your income. The great part of this is that you only need to catch 1 of each of those things. Use the farm to make another for the museum, and then just let the remaining one multiply. I wait til they fill and then only harvest 4 at a time. Leaving 6 to breed seems to move things along faster.
At any rate, CI just takes a lot of patience. Sometimes hair tearing patience, but we eventually get there. I'm looking forward to actually being able to date my boyfriends, get married, and have kids that grow up. Also looking forward to the Savannah and more merfolk stuff. Sorry for the ramble. Lol.
Not much of a struggle matter of focusing solely on what's gonna boost you specially since the beginning money maker is sugar cane from the start reproducing everyday I have it where takes nearly half a minute to 45 seconds for it to load the day when I use the auto harvest attachment for the sprinkler because I went for increasing to do things away from the farn
