Zero communication with Semeru and Denali

Since update I am unable to get any sort of dialog with these two. Agung praises the slime being gone but that's about it. Semeru and Denali offer no dialog and I noticed there was a change to no longer speak to guards and was wondering if that affected Semeru who is a guard and is to be a marriage candidate also.

Since I've upgraded to rank A and transformed into an underwater mermaid, it's been totally impossible for me to interact with Semeru or the other inhabitants. I can't talk to them, give them gifts or visit the stores.
Do you have any ideas for solving this problem?

Are you playing on the latest Steam build? I have zero issues with speaking or gifting to any of the Merfolk.

Also, where are you in the storyline? You can't talk to the merfolk until after a certain point.

I’m playing on my Steam Deck but yes, it says there’s nothing to update. I’ve completed the “One of Us” mission/have the tail.

Hi, Rachma! Turns out the Mercury retrograde got me. My Steam Deck finally showed that it needed an update and that allowed Coral Island to update, and everything is perfect now.
