What happened if we grow fruit tree and place floor tile around it?

I notice that the tree stopped growing after i placed floor tiles around it but im not really sure because the tree is not on season yet, have anyone ever tested if the tree can bear a fruit if we place a floor or decoration around its 8 tiles?

if it copied over stardew's system, which it does in 99% of its gameplay aspects it should be possible to surround it with floor tiles after its fully grown, not during. in order to still produce fruit

My fruit trees have grass tiles places all around them and they are growing fine. Remember it takes 28 days for them to grow, so you really only see growth change once a week.

all my trees, including the ones the wither, have wood tile around it and they grow up just fine.
And this is coming from a player that had about 100 bugs and crashes on the game
