Why are my fruit trees dying?

I've recently spent a lot of money on fruit trees just to find out that some of them die. Is it because they're off season? Am I supossed to buy the trees every year? I don't really get it. Thanks in advance for your help. Also, why do some of them need to be watered and some don't?

Fruit trees or fruit plants? There's a difference. Fruit PLANTS will die, Fruit TREES just go dormant.

Fruit Plants (seedling) - 2x2, tilled ground, watered every day, wilts in off seasons
Rank E - Plum, Banana, Rambutan, Jackfruit, Dragonfruit, Papaya
Rank C - Avacado, Cocoa, Lemon, Pear, Lychee, Snake Fruit

Fruit Trees (sapling) - 3x3, untilled ground, no water, dormant in off season
Rank C - Durian, Orange, Mango, Peach, Almond, Apple, Olive

ohhh I see.... and I suposse I can't start growing them before the season, right? Like if the fruit plant gives fruits in spring, can i start growing it in winter? Since they take so long... thx

The fruit plants can only be planted in their season, but the fruit trees can be planted any time.
