Game Pass players are slow to get patches and updates?

Not a Steam issue, but my son plays on XBox Game Pass for PC, and his game seems to be a downgrade on my own experience. Is this normal? Seems odd to me...

For example, when he watches TV in his farmhouse, he doesn't get any pictures relating to the show he's watching. It's always just a picture of the weather girl. Looks weird when he's watching a show about C-Pop, and the picture doesn't match the dialogue.

Yeah Gamepass is like a month behind and hasn't gotten the recent hotfixes. That's actually, unfortunately, normal for GP.

This was an issue all through EA as well. Stairway would send over the hotfixes, and GP just wouldn't push them. They were always several updates behind.
