Does anyone know?
I'm on day 3 Spring 2nd year. My fruit trees from last Spring are still around, dead and fertilized. Shouldn't they have come back to life on Spring day 1?

I guess you mean fruit plants? There are 2 kinds of "fuit trees", fruit plants that die after 2 seasons and fruit trees that are forever, but fuit only in one season per year.

Yes they can, if you fertilize the ground before planting.

I’m trying to figure out why my trees look dead but stay all winter and wet, yet it’s day 5 now of spring and my spring trees haven’t come back to life.

You can't though, because trees are planted on non-tiled soil. You can't fertilize just the ground. So if you've fertilized it, it's a fruit plant.

Do you remember what you planted there, or have a photo? Is it in a 2x2 or 3x3 space?

Banana
Plum
Rambutan

You do know that at the tree planting festival, you are taught to till 4 squares before planting trees? Then you are given a Banana tree. It will not go in the ground without a 2x2 tilled section. The wild trees are the ones that you don’t till for.

Those are all fruit plants, not trees, so no they will not come back.

The fruit trees are Durian, Orange, Mango, Peach, Almond, Apple, Olive. They go on a 3x3 untiled space, and they go dormant in the off season.

Bananas, Plums and Rambutans are fruit plants (grown from seedlings). You need to buy a new plant each year for them. Much different from the fruit trees like Oranges and Apples (grown from saplings) which requires no fertilization and you don't need to water them and will spring back every year.

Thank you guys. That’s what I’m looking for. For some reason, they stayed watered on their own and stuck around this whole time.

Then the fruit trees remain as a tree always? They just go dormant?
Piperbird Dec 5, 2023 @ 7:43pm
Correct, you will not need to replant them, they'll pop back in their season again. They just sort of chill there in their off seasons.

Perfect. Thank you.

Thank you all.
