I cant find sexy shrimp

i promise that I've searched all the 40-50m area for several days. What should I do? TT

The wiki says they only spawn during the day did you go during the day or night?

I found one so far (only one) so they don't seem "common" like the wiki says but it was after the latest patch so I don't think there's a new bug with them.

I get them very regularly in the very first section of the ocean as you leave the merfolk kingdom. There's always one right there.

I would try restarting the game. I find if I play multiple in-game days in a row, the critters and insects can get stuck. Sexy Shrimp should be pretty common in the area right outside the mermaid kingdom

That's probably where I found my one. Haven't been back since I've just been progressing through the ocean after that.
