Find a way to open the gate ???

Anyone still got this problem? I've already heal 20 coral sites, but i still couldn't get the gate open up for me...

Did you try the combination sequence at the gate? Stepping/floating onto the tiles in the right order opens it.

Alternatively, maybe it can be fixed by leaving the ocean, resetting the diving spot and then going down the mines a few levels to make the game re-load the area?

This is an older post now, but if you haven't gotten in yet -

You need 40 sites, not 20, you need to completely clear the bronze and silver areas.

You also need the level 2.0 diving suit.

If you have the big black root with tiny red Xs floating over it, one of these is your problem.

If you have a kind of purple mist in the way you can't pass, go complete one goddess offering to receive the goddess blessing, then you can get in.

Just in case you don't have the diving v2.0, cutscene with Ling need to be manually triggered at the pier. 2 days later, she will be back with the suit v2.0 I did use waypoint teleport so I missed this step earlier.
