Crash at Harvest Festival

I right clicked to view the Beluga stand at the Harvest Festival and the game crashed. Is this a bug

I have managed to complete the harvest festival by not collecting my rewards or playing the mini games and just leaving the festival after the 'main event', the rewards were then in my bag when I got home. A work around for anyone looking to progress rather than wait for a fix.

playing on PC gamepass. Played minigames, got my rewards, bought some stuff at the shop, then clicked on Beluga's display... game crashed twice. So frustrating.

I got through the festival. Try having a full bag so that minigame rewards will go to your mailbox instead. If you wanna buy stuff at the event vendor make sure you know what you want beforehand so you can make space in your inventory. Vendor should be your first destination. If you're not interested in the vendor, proceed to minigames. DO NOT look at "Rewards" and just START the game. Again, rewards should go to mailbox. Then go straight to Main Event. DO NOT look at Beluga's display, game will crash. Go ahead and display your crops/products. Don't even look at the rewards. Right after the event cutscene, you will see an exclamation point right in front of your Harvest Display. This is notifying you your Havest Display reward. DO NOT click it, game will crash. Just leave the event. You'll be in front of your house with rewards waiting for you in your mailbox.

TL;DR: Have a full bag, avoid looking at rewards EVER, just start minigames, do not look at Beluga's display, start working on your display and initiate the main event, do not look at the reward even after the Harvest Display contest is over.

^ This is how i got through it, but it did let me buy stuff in the store after i submitted my crops and finished the main event.

Adding my name to the crashers. Will also expand on the display, Don't so much as TOUCH either display after competing. This will likely cause you to loose what you put in which is painful when you have nearly a full osmium quality display. The display should be the last thing you do since you can't reclaim your products to refill your inventory.
Or wait for the Dev to solve the issue.

The animal festival usually works great for me, but it ALWAYS crashes when I try the chicken game. and sometimes, the cow race. the mechanical bull and pet race usually work fine, but I've never even seen the chicken one.

I tried the full inventory approach, it allowed me to submit my crops and win the judging but when I clicked on "check Rewards" it crashed. I also tried leaving the festival after winning but not checking rewards, no crash but you don't get any of the merit points or rewards.

How about the crash when Starting the Havest Festival Main Event?

I have now had the game crash twice at the harvest festival.

Once when collecting my prizes and once after placing my items in and clicking to start the Main Event.

Playing via Xbox Game Pass on PC.

This is incredibly annoying given the game as no manual save option.

Please provide an update on when this is likely to be fixed.

I'm playing on Xbox gamepass and have crashed three times and counting, specifically after winning first place in apple bobbing. My first two play throughs, I got second place without crashing, so maybe it had someone to do with first place.
I'm about to try to full inventory approach. Wish me luck. It's really frustrating playing the same day on repeat without a way to save before the festival. 😓

Edit: Fourth time's the charm. Follow Lyxir's step by step guide and you can avoid the crash.
The store is open both before and after the main event and I managed to use it without crashing, but keeping a full inventory and avoiding Reward peeks really did the trick.

So, while I don't really want to contribute to this ongoing issue since it seems to be starting back at least as far as a couple months ago, I am also experiencing the game crashing upon starting the Harvest Festival and checking the opponent's vegetable stand. Whether I check them before or after I put in my own stuff it still crashes. I don't think it matters what you do in the game leading up to the festival, but the consensus seems to be that checking the vegetable stands to begin the competition seems to be causing some sort of issue.

My game has crashed twice now, and I will be taking a break. I think what upsets me the most is that I've purchased and upgraded backpack after finally saving enough gold for it and I can't keep it because the festival is causing me problems. I think everything else in the festival works except maybe the stand where Karen is located; wasn't able to interact with that at all, and I think my steering was a bit off for the Pumpkin Smashing as well.
