Where to catch rare insects

I'm currently in the summer season.
"Crowned hairstreak butterfly" and "Wolf spider" Could you please tell me where these two were caught?
I'm trying to set a trap and catch it, but I can't catch it at all.
If anyone has caught one, please let me know.

Set the trap near the hot springs. just to the left of the stairs leading down from the observatory to the hot springs. I got wolf spiders nearly every day from that spot. The butterfly is supposed to be on the beach but I did not have the flying trap before summer ended.

Caught both of them in the dig site start area don't need to go over the bridge if you have the whole area unlocked they are only at the start where you go to cut the 1-2 hardwood logs, I put out traps all over the area. Also you will need the magnolia green jumper caught summer when its raining around the lake area put down traps up there as well if you don't have it yet.

Is the excavation site just west of where the dungeon is? Do you mean a place where fossils are often found?
If I set a trap there, will I be able to catch both insects?

you will need both types of traps to catch those. the ground trap can not catch flying types and vice versa.

Yes the excavation site but just the start of it, just south of the dungeon and to the west its called mid forest.
