Do chickens or cows that can make gold products still make regular ones?

So after the animal festival, I've got a chicken and cow who can now make gold eggs/milk.
Can they still produce the normal kind? Or do I need new animals for that?

They will always make gold eggs or milk those items are classed as two items when used in machines. i have had trouble with auto-chests using the gold items.

I noticed they don't go back to normal which sucks because I need another cow for offerings. Completion ( L Silver Milk). Noob questions btw, whats the symbol next to the grazing one for ranching aimals?

Can't you give higher than is required? I mean, I know it's not ideal, but wouldn't it be better than having to go through an entire new animal?

They don’t give gold-grade eggs and milk. They give ACTUAL Gold Eggs and Good Milk. So they’re separate items which don’t count for offerings or artisan machines or recipes.

It's good if only it works with cooking that require normal egg/milk, or the buggy mason jar/mayonnaise maker, forget which one

Yes, you can give higher grade items than the shrines ask for.

The issue is that the gold eggs and milk aren't gold star. They're literally golden items with their own star rankings (so you can get a gold star gold milk).

The gold items count as the normal items, except double.
So a single golden egg counts as two regular eggs (of the same star rarity).
So if you use a golden egg in a mayonnaise machine, it will create two units of mayo.

The gold items also sell for vastly more than the normal version. So they're good for money.

Can't seem to win the race with a young Cow, is there a way to make my old Cow that allready won, give Golden Milk instead of large golden milk? figured I'd ask for ideas and knowledge before cruely starving my animals just to try.
And before you ask why I'd want the smaller produkt - its for the achievements Legendary Farmer and shipping every Animal product. Allready restartet the day a dozen times and starting to get sick of the race...

just let them outside during unfavorable weather like rainstorm, or blizzards, then the following day should be the small milk and small egg, that's what i did and it work
