I ASK WHERE IS THE ROMANCE? WHERE IS THE HUGGING, DATING AND KISSING?

I have played Coral Island ever since early access and now I went with the Game+. I have been looking all around the internet, and I have read where they are talking about the romance. What are they talking about? I see no difference in the romance, I have some of the bachelors with 8 hearts and was looking forward to going to 10. But now, it looks like even when you reach 10 hearts with the locket, you still will not see any dating, hugging and kissing (there is no difference). It also looks like even when you get married, it's like Hi we're married. Now they are talking about children. How and what are you going to do with children? Oh, I almost forgot, what about the Merfolk Kingdom, the romance will probably be the same or null. I was so looking forward to the romance, etc. and getting married. Don't get me wrong, but I do really like playing Coral Island and I have played for over 900 hrs. Right now, I am really disappointed. I will try to be hopeful that this will be fixed, updated, patched sooner than later. I will continue playing, because I don't even know what the end of game is or how to even how to get to the end (but I guess I'm not the only who in this situation).

this is so true!! I just became partners with one npc and their dialogue does not change at all! they talk like they just met the farmer... i'm so diappointed

i agree too.
it´s not really romantic in the game.
i played a lot of harvest moon and there are more romantic and dating scenes...

i´ve married Macy and the talk befor and after is diffrent, but not really romantic.
The funny part is when you give her a pizza she screams with happiness and then she apologizes for screaming XD

I'm romancing Mark and I got one cute kissing scene at 10 hearts and that's it. After that he is back with the usual cold hearted dialogue and I'm just wondering if he got some short term memory issues or something.

The devs have mentioned on their discord, which yes, it seems they only pay attention to their discord and post daily updates there, that there is suppose to be tons of romantic dialogue between you and the npcs, but that a bug is preventing that from happening. They are looking into it.

I only know this as someone posted a screenshot of this on reddit.

Theres a couple bugs apparently. The triggers for dating dialogue is busted, and also multiple NPCs (pretty much all of them at random depending on the player it seems) are getting stuck on the same dialogue infinitely (for me, Noah has been going to the clinic every day for the past 3 seasons and Erika has mentioned she thought Bree would buy the land every day)

Overall it means NPCs are more flat than even pre 1.0 and dating isnt doing anything.

To add to that, Pablo always talks about how his brother Rafael is good with tools, Judge Ross always asks about where to get ramen, Mayor Connor always babble about some pumpkin drink, Lily always worrying about her brother Theo. Was a bit weirded out the first few times but I was quite annoyed when a few weeks have passed and they still talk about the same thing.

I hope they fix this soon. It's so immersion-breaking.

dating shouldnt have to do with general and daily dialogue thats dependent on heart levels tho. when will it be fixed

I can't judge the spouse part (because Scott's 10 heart event is bugged) but he clearly has more flirty/teasy lines with more hearts, specially after 8 (him being boyfriend). But not ONLY flirty lines. He will still also say his usual thing.

Ohh... hope that it will be fixed soon. I was waiting to play until it was out of BETA because I wanted to see the romances.
