50% Day Speed is Epic

I wasn't sure if the option would speed up the day or slow it down but it definitely slows it down and I must say I really enjoy the longer day time. It makes me utilize the hot springs and eating food a lot more and gives me time to do some of everything every day. I find that I'm less often arriving at shops right after closing and I can get to bed before midnight each night.

I might ease it back to 70% but I really feel that I can't play the default time any longer as it is just too fast. Anyone else enjoying slower longer days like me? Any downsides to it?

I'd say the only downside is having to wait for shops to open. Also, if your game crashes you'd have to redo a much longer day. But I love 50% speed. I hate games that make my day feel rushed.

So far I've had no crashes and I always have plenty to do before they open. That is my problem with default speed: When I get to a point to head over to a shop it is always a race against time that I lose as often as I win. Glad to hear you enjoy 50% speed as well. On my next session I'll speed up to 75% to see how that feels. If I get a crash that forces me to restart a day maybe I'll regret it but I'm willing to press my luck because of how much better the game feels slowed down.

Downsides - Wait for shops to open or if you are after a specific bug or fish at night.

But I love it due to the fact I could clean the ocean and heal the coral more than what I could have done at default speed.

More time to harvest crops, tend to animals, make artisan goods, chop wood, mine stone and ores, fish and hunt for bugs.

Yep, loving the 50% day speed.

I just played a session at 70% to try it and if I had played that first I probably would have loved it but I think 50% truly is perfection. Going from 50% to 70% made it feel like time was slipping through my fingers again and I was right back to slipping into bed at 1:30am...

I would like the option to go down to 25-30% so I can spend a lot more time exploring the island as even at 50% speed, I still feel a little rushed.

yea 100% speed is way to fast.
I enjoy 70%, days are not to long, but also not to short.

Agreed, I love the 50% speed option! I really felt I could take my time enjoying the island and chatting with the townspeople. My only issue was running out of energy quickly, but thanks to New Game+ I can afford lots of Jamu
