Where and how do I find the Pom-Pom Crab and the Rove Beetle in Coral Island?

I played through the seasons 3 times and never found either one. Despite information from the internet. Things were different in Early Access

Pom-pom crab is spring/summer and in the 10-20m area. That should be the bronze kelp area. You can put critter trap around that area for a chance of catching one overnight.

Rove Beetle is fall and winter in the vineyard and garden lane area at night, but is rare. You can put down insect traps in those areas to catch them easier.

How can I got a critter trap? I have only the insect trap.

same for me, I'm looking for the rove beetle and the caterpillar monarch more than ten days now... Haven't seen them once...

The traps come with the skill level.
catching insects and diving skill. The floor traps come from 4 or 6 and the others at 8 or 10 I think.
I set up traps everywhere because I couldn't catch/find the specific insects/sea creatures.
It takes time to find everything, but they all end up in the traps at some point.
I waited 5 seasons for the Rove Beetle.
If you use scents it could go faster, but they also come late with the skill levels.
