About the merfolk quest

I've healed the coral tree and all that, but what happens if I agree to undergo the 'transformation'? I'd welcome some confirmation that I'll revert to normal after going back on land.

You become much faster in water, get a dope dash and transform back to human when on land.

The downside is that the merfolk territory is HUGELY work in progress still and filled with incomplete content.

Was debating on whether I would get the default mermaid tail or the other one where you are wearing pants with fish scales.

Then I saw that the mermaid store just allows you to switch between the two styles so that was a waste of time.

Like Drake said, it's a organized mess down there. at the moment i'm unable to collect resources with sickle after going with the "transformation".
