Small lags

I'm experiencing small lags when my caracter runs as I go around the island. Anyone else experiencing this and does anyone know how to fix it? It didn't use to do this before the 1.0 update

I have the same issue , not sure
how to fix it I am on the steam deck with all settings on low but still have that issue too.

I have this too, but less and less the more I play. I assumed that it was just the game loading resources (the code kind, not the stone/wood kind) the first time they showed up.

Yeah I get this too, like the scrolling is "catching up" for a millisecond every once in a while. Feels like a frame pacing issue.

I also have this issue. lags for loading the next asset.. It sometimes stutters... Maybe the dev will address the issue later

it always did that in EA it just didnt show loading , and it runs smoother now for me.

I and others on PC and Xbox have reported this issue through their bug report feature on Discord. They are aware of it. Hopefully we see a fix soon

I think people are confusing two different things. This isn't shader compilation stutter, which improves over time. These are smaller traversal stutters that happen when moving through the world. Each time it happens, it briefly shows a little loading icon.

Yeah, there's definitely a stutter going on as you move around. Just enough to be noticed and annoying.

I thought this was just my pc dying on me, glad it ain't that. This literally made me think my pc was dying.

I tried lowering my settings as well, still had this loading issue. Sometimes the map won't load for 20 seconds or less.

I get this in town, very short loading circle at the bottom-right with stutters every 2 sec or so. It eventually stops but comes back every time I'm in town. I'd rather have longer loading screens than consistent stutters but it's not the end of the world.

Is installed on a fast M.2 drive too.

Yep same for me and with my system I shouldn't be getting them, the game was as smooth as butter in EA, now I am getting microstutters with the loading logo in the bottom right corner.

Indeed, it is a very annoying issue, teleporter also seems to take longer to travel from one point to an other if i'm not mistaken. Always sad to see a game accumulate bug over time, instead of fixing them, specialy for a 1.0 release who wasn't focused on new content... Hopefully at least automaton chest are playable now. The game fluidity was one of the game major good point so far, along with the graphics, hope it'll be fixed (before too long).

I hope this isn't because they added some type of telemtry or DRM that's causing lag.
