I was considering purchasing it, but the character design is so repulsive that it makes me want to vomit.

Seriously, I don't believe they could go with a more disgusting, nauseating character design even if they tried. Can't wait to see what similar abominations in other "games" will look like in few years.

To all of the people who will say we're ridiculous for not buying something because of this: as customers, the only option we have to show disapproval of something we don't like is to not consume the product and to let the developers know why we didn't.

Just wanted to say that these comments are so refreshing to see and I've been doing the same thing -- weeding out the obvious propaganda from my entertainment consumption diet.

I don't know what kind of stone age nation you live at, but clearly you know nothing about the modern globalized world, where this amount of diverse people and cultures are present in most nations, excepting those with troublesome governments or traditions.

Not about the game, but this is blatantly false, the point OP is making that the situation in the game is not natural at all, which is true, natural diverse nations dont exist. Sooner or later one group will outbreed/intermingle with the other one too much that that group will be absorbed, leading once again to a homogeneous nation.
What we're seeing in primarily western nations these days is man-made and will only last til there is only 1 group left.

I don't mind diversity provided it's done with moderation, and that's exactly what some political and ideological movements lack. I think the way it's being implemented lately is a bit excessive and over the top and I honestly can't tell whether companies really care about these things or if they are only doing it because it comes with benefits (ESG score).

I think it's worse to force these ideals upon society and the industries because that means their implementation is going to be less genuine. I'd rather deal with someone who shows their true colors, even if it upsets me, because then I know where we stand with each other. Someone who pretends to be nice, just for the sake of social credits and virtue signaling, is being manipulative and has the potential to be way more hurtful.

People are allowed to have preferences, even when they don't align with our own interests. That's what it means to live in a free, democratic society. Don't try to impose your way of living and thinking unto others because that rarely ends well and usually only promotes more hate and angst down the line. And this applies to both sides.

I know a lot of you are barely out of the caves and still use pictures as words, but the invention of air travel has made the world a much smaller place. Slowly the entire globe is becoming one big mixing pot. "Naturally diverse nations do not exist". Nations are man-made. There is no natural nation of man. Every single nation to ever exist was a man made construct. I think what you meant is for much of history people were stuck in one place unless they wanted to spend months on a wagon or ship, and even then the world was much less forgiving of foreigners no matter their color or creed.

By the way....when the USA started up, it was the most diverse "nation" on earth, and still is today 300+ years later.
