Number of reviews in Polish language for Stardew Valley skyrocketed when unofficial Polish translation was released.
The first version of the Polish language mod for Stardew Valley (partial translation, mostly interface) came out in March 2019 (look at the old versions of the mod) and 1.0 version of the translation came out at the end of 2019/beginning of 2020 (with all the text translated):

Reviews on Steam show a huge increase in number of reviews in Polish language after release of the 1.0 version of the mod:

its ok for people to want translation and i'm not disparaging the facts, but that's mind boggling to me; i remember expanding my english vocabulary while playing cesar III and ffviii when i was a kid, 25 years ago; and i get that some 40+ people, and most of 50+ dont speak or have trouble using english, but young people? in this age and geopolitical situation to not know at least basics (and thats pretty much all you need to play most games)? thats just pure laziness, there are text bubbles for f**k sake - you just take dictionary or open google translate XD i remember people doing just that to play hm games in japanese XD playing games is actually one of the easiest language learning methods XD
like you i read mostly in english (for work and pleasure), and i try to play games in their original languages with english subtitles, cant afford going rusty ;)
I am responding to two people at once. I live in Poland, I am Polish and I want to play games in Polish. Now I use Google Translate. I speak English communicatively. Someone wants to play in another language, please do, but I don't want to. I am giving up on games that do not have Polish translation. The menu and descriptions in games are enough in Polish, the rest can be in another language. I believe that games published in different countries should have translations into the language of that country.
that's a fair stand, and to make sure - i was not digging at you for wanting translation, as i wrote before its ok to want it.
on the other hand games available on steam are "published" worldwide, and i think it's justified if developers (esp. indie dev) limit translation to say 5 or 10 most widespread languages; while i dont see why us gamers should limit ourselves artificialy just to products available in our native language :)

Polish is the 10th most popular language on Steam with 1,46%. This game has Thai translation which has 0,92% and is 13th. It also has Indonesian translation, which has 0,08% and is 27th.
Thank you, I didn't look at which discussion it was. However, I still think that the Polish language should be available. I doubt they will add it anytime soon, so I will remove it from my wish list.
thank you, i didnt know that :) So it is high time for polish translation. Seems like a poor business decision on their part not to get about it yet.
As for indonesian - Stairway Games is indonesian developer :)
