Questions for the 'spring' patch
Fruit trees -

they have 4 spots to be watered (4/4), grew a bunch, but I'm unsure if i need to leave
sprinklers at them, the fully grown ones still have a 4 spot to water (4/4)

But they don't seem to benefit from nor use fertilizer that I threw under them (12 have been given the max fert, the rest haven't... drops seem consistent on all trees)

Do they need to be watered to grow and produce fruits, or do they just have it as a consequence of having to till 4 spots for the plant?

Townsfolk Friendships -

I see they have 0/2 gifts next their their name now

They previously would give random meh grade gifts in the mail randomly.

Now that i see the 0/2 gifts next to them I wonder if they also have unique useful things they send (plans, or special tools etc)

Shrines -

I see people say they've done the second one, TTBOMK some of the critters are unobtainable... is it unlockable now?

Goats don't seem to be in, I'm rapidly closing on rank B town so it might just be something unlocked at that level

Mines -

Extremely rare to see the rock geodes (ones that drop gems) like maybe 1/25,000 - 1/100,000 rocks per one... I'm guessing the mines doesn't have some kind of cooldown for more to spawn. Or are they gated now into

Also I've extensively mined and no additional sources of osmium appeared, anyone find more? (vs the meteor)

Underwater -

Its been the one place I've been crashing (twice) so I've decided its not worth the trips atm.

They seem to have removed the deepest part and reworked the map from when I last played...

Still no osmium kept correct?

Still no way past the city gates?

Still nothing to do with the musical puzzle?

Crafting -

Seems that I have 7 or so functional things not unlocked (the crafting machines) my levels are close to 7/8 across the board (except fighting is down at 3 that goes up sllllloow)

Are they unlocked in another way or just not in yet any ideas? I know I'm missing some aging cask to make wine people are talking about (my kegs make juice now)

Following as I would like to know the answer to some of these questions as well...

Yes, fruit plants (they are plants, not trees, trees aren't in the game yet) need to be watered every day.

The 0/2 gifts keeps track of the two weekly gifts you give to THEM, not gifts they give to you.

Keep an eye on some of the NPC shops, you can randomly find things there needed to complete the shrines. You may also get some as rewards for donating to the museum.

Goats are not in the game. Only sheep and ducks have been added. You can reach B, but nothing unlocks.

The underwater map has been slightly reworked to make room for the Merfolk Kingdom. The deeper levels have not been removed, you can still access everything you could before, minus the shrine behind the beluga that has been broken since the feedback update. They just walled off that little section.

Many of the makers are not yet in the game to craft, but you can get them as rewards from completing sections of the shrines.

What do you mean trees aren't in the game yet?

They are fruit plants, not trees, they will wither out of season and you'll have to chop them down. Trees will be added later. So don't worry about doing the tree upgrades with your kelp, just do the plant ones. Everyone keeps calling them trees, but they are not. They are plants.

Edit - why are you posting wiki posts that have nothing to do with the game?

Well that is garbage design, they take a third+ of the month to grow, pop fruit out every 3-4 days so barely recoup the cost of the seedling, and time + seedling they are negatives great

Do they at least recover if you leave them until their season pops up again?

The wiki posts are to show that all three examples are trees.

But then a game where you chop monsters up, cows eat the same feed daily as chickens, and 50% of the time you dive underwater the entire world crashes... I guess reasonable is meh

Edit - OIC that is just dumb... super costly, low return, large space required beasts

The fruit plants/trees are best for the greenhouse which you get later. The don't wither in there after the seasons since they are protected from the weather/cold. That's where you get the best return on your money.

If you plant them outside and leave them throughout the year they will not come back the next season of theirs, I tried (mainly because I didn't realize you could chop them down to remove them LOL!).

Are the merfolk in the game yet? Besides the 2 that you see the first time you get to the deep?

Merfolk aren't expected until the full release update.

Edit - sorry, I misread. Merfolk festivals and extras are full release. Merfolk and the kingdom are two updates from now, so 4-6 months? Ish?

I tried to plant them inside and it wouldn't allow me so I figured that was a no go

Maybe just a bug with the zone for it

Yup, you can. They need a 2x2 space. And they still need to be watered, but they won't go out of season in there.

Did you have a sprinkler nearby? I found that around the sprinklers it can be a little bit difficult to find the right spot maybe.
