Keg vs Mason Jar
After doing a bit of poking around (and using Excel spreed sheets), it looks like using Mason Jars for everything that can go in them is more profitable than using kegs. While you get less per unit from the mason jar, you can produce 2 a day (one unit is *usually* created in 12 hours in a mason jar) which makes it better than one a day (kegs *usually* produce 1 unit every 25 hours). Now, there are items that can only go in kegs like barley, basil, coffee beans, etc. And there are only things that can go in mason jars like eggs, milk, soybeans, etc.

Shouldn't some items be better off going into kegs than mason jars? What am I missing?

It depends on what you want to make. You can take stuff from the kegs and putt them in the aging barrel to make wines, meads, kimchi, and fermented cheeses.

Looking at the wiki page, yeah, aging something is going to improve the sell price immensely. Need one more thing to get the barrel from the alter as I don't have the crafting recipe yet. But the wiki page also says something about not being able to finish the alter with changes in v0.2. Sigh.

You can finish the aging barrel alter, you just need to buy the stuff from the floating marking, and it's hit or miss if she'll have it.
