Hardwood spawn location?

I saw in the update description that there's a location for hardwood to respawn every day but can't find it. Help please. Just got myself a gold axe.

I believe they are located on the way to the mine; right around the river.

I usually got it in the forest. but you need to unlock the area first

It's in the forest area you unlock with the alters. Where the cemetery is and the ginseng spawns.

I think there is a bug where if you cleared them before the patch with a golden axe they dont respawn?

How often, if ever, is it expected to respawn? Two seasons in, and the hardwood has not respawned at all. In the end, Ill just buy it... but i think there is a glitch where the respawn depends on the harvesting trigger... and if you did that before the last update, you are sol

I did it before the update and I can't get them to spawn anymore, nor can I get normal trees to spawn on the farm either, so I have to either buy hardwood, and I have to plant trees from the seeds you get >_>;

You aren't going to get hardwood from a regular tree unless you take the perk that gives you a 1% chance of it dropping. Blowing up stumps and fallen logs will get you hardwood, and there are hardwood logs you can chop around the world.

You find it in the Deep Forest. Dark logs lying around, not tree.s

Can anyone tell me precisely where to find logs? Are they just in the forest or also around the town? So far I found only one near Ben's Caravan at the waterfalls.. Can't find any more tho and it's frustrating.

Go out of the left side exit to your farm and go to the pond with the water wheel. To the left of that is an area that is blocked at the beginning of the game, but once you have done enough offerings at the temple it is opened and your can access that area. It usually has one or two large logs that will provide wood and hardwood when chopped.

I've read the supposed giseng-area but I can't figure out what exact area is meant.

It's the area surrounded by trees and pink lotus flowers between the empty cabin where Concerned Monkey is and the sign pointing you to the Caverns. Initially it's covered by giant tree roots.

Now, if you can't find any other logs and you've depleted your own supply on the farm, that can mean you haven't unlocked the area I just mentioned. That needs to be done first and requires you to fulfill the offerings of the first Goddess altar at the Lake. I can't remember how many offerings you need to fill specifically, but the Forest area will unlock somewhere between a few offerings (~3+ roughly) and all offerings completed.
