Sandstone??

Hey does anyone know where to get sandstone, I want to build a well but it requires sandstone and ive been digging in the sand and cant seem to get it. Any better strategy to gather it?

from a specific stone or just plain luck cause ive gone mining alot and just get stone and silver no sandstone ;--;. I must be unlucky

by clearing trash or digging in the oceans sand???

I think lumps of Sandstone are just sitting on top of the sand and you can pick them up whenever you go diving. I'm going in-game in a few minutes and will update my reply if I'm wrong... If you want Sandstone because you need Glass, you should be able to use Stone that you mine, in the Furnace (it might get patched out at some point though if the devs feel that's too easy)

Its for a well I want to build, I got the picture of what the materials are and one of them is sandstone. (In the link it says well which is the one i want)

its not for glass, it is for the well it requires an amount of sandstone and other material.

I think I was wrong about just picking up Sandstone off the ground. You need to use the Hoe to dig it up on the Beach and Underwater. It's a fairly uncommon drop though...

I'm in the same boat. The spiders in the mine are the only place i find sandstone and they rarely drop any and i need it for the well.
