musical stones in ocean and taps

Is there a puzzle with the 5 round stones near the huge shell statue and will there be a hint somewhere? I've put a tap in a tree but am not harvesting anything. Is there something else that needs to be done?

Taps take a long time, you'll get one sap/maple every week or so.

The puzzle is not in the game yet.
