Rove Beetle. Impossible catch now?

Since the update I haven't found a single Rove Beetle. Have they been nerfed in the latest patch?

I need one for the Alter, but I've hit a brick wall. I believe they only spawn in Fall or Winter at night. Weather should be rain, storm, snow or blizzard. Spawn locations are Garden Lane and Vineyard. I heard they might also spawn on the beach in Winter. I'm not sure if they are supposed to spawn in clear/sunny weather.

Am I correct in believing that "Night" is from 20:00 to 00:00?

Has anyone had success catching one since the update? If yes, please share your method with us. Thanks

I've caught a few. What I do is start from the natural wall just north of the hot springs. Run south til I hit the bottom of the vineyard area. Catch any bugs there, then run back to the north of the hotsprings, and repeat. Don't know if it's the distance, the time, or just changing areas, but this seems to respawn vineyard bugs pretty often, with the Rove beetle being one of them. I was doing it on a sunny winter night. I started at 18:00, but not sure what time I actually caught it.

Success. I finally caught a Rove Beetle. Winter 12, Sunny, at the Vineyard, time was 18:40.

Actually! This is what I did. I almost caught a rover beetle along the garden lane but it got away. D:

I used waypoints between my house and the diving area.
It seems insects respawn every time the clock ticks an hour, and by unloading and reloading the area by passing through it.
