Passing out in farm house - NO PENALTY - UPDATE PLEASE
I find it a bit strange that when I pass out in the farm house, someone walks into MY house at 1:00am to "find me". Please update this and get rid of it. If I pass out in my house, I shouldn't be penalized for sleeping on my floor :). To be clear, its only when I am INSIDE of the farm house, if I were to pass out on the farm itself, I would expect someone to find me as I am technically outside.

Thank you for your time!

I honestly hate that I have to bolt for my bed by midnight or I will lose stamina or health the following day. Plus if I should pass out, even in my home, it costs me money. I agree about the "pass out in your house" feature. Shouldn't be a penalty. But I suppose many are used to this from other games. I am quite spoiled by Animal Crossing NH, in which my little character can go til 3 in the morning and not run out of steam.

I wish being penalized for staying up late would be removed, altogether. It's a ancient relic of a feature that needs to stop being put on these games.

I personally like the need to sleep. It makes sure you get to save your progress every day

With the feature that slows the time down to 50%, having to be in bed by midnight isn't too much of a bother, and you can stay up til 1:00 am with a stamina penalty (easily fixed with the bathhouse). I just think its weird that someone walks into my house at 1:00 am if I pass out before I can touch the bed. I consider that trespassing XD

I mean, it kind of makes sense. How good of a farmer do you think you'd be if you passed out every night and got 4 hours of sleep?

You can also move your bed to right next to the door if you're someone who regularly cuts it close to 1am

As an insomniac with sleep various sleep disorders... It's amazing what some good caffeine can get you through, in a day ;)

I can understand a penalty in energy regain, but no one just straight passes out because the time on the clock says so... If I ate 50 candied seeds at midnight, it shouldn't matter what time it is; I have enough energy. Let me do what I want to do.

Some people are natural night owl's. Maybe they do night farming and sleep through the day. Maybe you just want to stay up until 5am to watch the sunrise.

I like these types of games when they allow you to save whenever you want and don't penalize you for wanting to explore the world at night. It's a old game mechanic from when Harvest Moon (and others) were primarily on console and they needed you to constantly save to your physical memory cards, so you wouldn't lose your game. In a world of PC gaming and Cloud saves, it's entire unnecessary and brings nothing to the game play experience but annoyance. IMO.

I also agree with OP; Why are you in my house in the middle of the night? I can sleep on my floor, if I want to! lol

Agree with jabbywocks. Some of us are night owls. I know it doesn't fit the typical image of the farmer who gets up at 5 am and is in bed by 9 in order to run their farm. But farming is not all we're doing in this game. Also, as I mentioned earlier, in ACNH I often played late into the night because it's when I'm free to game and my internal clock is kind of set that way. Experiencing my island at night was a great feature of the game. All the things that illuminate look pretty and there's such a different atmosphere. Plus it was fun to get to know the other folks on the island who were night owls too.

Also why is it just me that falls over at 1 am? Apparently some people are awake to find and then bill me for daring to not be in bed. Lol. This feels a bit like being a child. Let us save when we want and go to bed when it suits our play style. If we get short on stamina, there are ways to deal with it. You can say that it's not realistic to be able to just keep going without sleep. (although the character will sleep when we decide to go to bed) But it's equally unrealistic to just fall over every day at a pre-determined moment.

Referring back to the original post, my only concern is someone walking into the farm house (my home) when I pass out at 1:00 am. Don't want to get far off topic in the comments.

I even had a cut scene where I was in the hospital after I passed out in my home.... .
When I passed out on the farmland or elsewhere then I understand that I would be punished but not when I'm in my home.
