Lol. I'm not sure if this is supposed to be funny or I really did miss a detail about a townie.
HoH isn't funny. I'm HoH myself, and it sucks. It's common for deaf and HoH people to shout, because they can't hear how loud they are. I have to consciously think about the volume of my voice to keep from yelling when I talk.
Just keep talking to him and his family and you'll see.
I did not mean him being hard of hearing was funny. That would be mean. What I meant, is that I didn't know if Piperbird's comment was supposed to be a joke or if the character was indeed supposed to be hard of hearing. Well, now I know. I haven't spoken to him all that much. There are SO many townies to make friends with it's difficult to talk to them all. But I appreciate the info.
Piper wasn't joking. He's definitely meant to be HoH. I find it very endearing, but it also brings a bit more diversity to the group. Reminds me of my grandfather, he had a hearing aid and would always "yell".
I didn't think you came across as insensitive, I got what you were getting at.
