is there a way to grow hay for animal feed?

I believe you're supposed to be able to make it with a mill out of fiber. That said, I can't figure out how to do that. It won't even let me place a barn.

200 comments about a colorful flag but I still can't figure out how to raise livestock:'D either I'm an imbecile(entirely possible) or something is wrong with the mill and barn. I can't even place the barn on my lot. Have you had any luck?

I placed a Coop, it was very awkward and took some running around. Make sure you clear the land and from what I understand you've gotta be in close proximity to it.

Thanks. It ended up working after I slept. Are you able to make food or are you buying it? Sorry for the bother. I am so behind on the animal raising side and that seems to be all that's left for me in early access so far. Aside from befriending NPCs, of course.

I can't seem to get it to work:/ I have all the things I need to feed the bejesus out of some cows but the mill won't grind anything for me. Still troubleshooting
