Scarecrow radius?

So. The tooltip says a radius of 8 tiles. The overlay that pops up when you click on it is only 5x5.

Which one is lying?

I believe 5x5 is presently how the scarecrow functions, though I believe 8x8 is their intention, based on what I’ve seen on their Discord server.

8x8 could be the better scarecrow?? I've noticed a few items that seem backwards. for instance I've sold vegge with a silver star. If I eat it, I would gain less health/stam than the standard. surely this is the other way around?

Every tooltip I've seen regarding radius is wrong. I am assuming it's a translation issue.

The makeshift scarecrow covers a 5x5 area. At farming level 5, or sometimes via the caravan shop, you can get an Ordinary Scarecrow that covers a whopping 17x17 area, which arguable matches that "8 tile radius" statement.

"8 tile radius" seems to be placeholder text in general, the basic sprinklers also state that as their range despite only covering a 3x3 area.

Sprinkler I doesn't say it covers 8 tiles, it says it covers "A radius of 8 tiles," which is a big difference. As it stands it covers a radius of 1 tile. Furthermore, the Ordinary Scarecrow has a similar description of working "To a radius of 8 tiles," meaning at a glance they should cover the same area, and they very much don't. Lastly, the Makeshift Scarecrow ALSO has a description that mentions a radius of 8 tiles, when there's no conceivable way to describe it's area as such. Therefore the 8 tile radius description seems to be a placeholder that hasn't been properly updated.

Coincidentally, the sprinkler has a circumference of 8 tiles. Go figure...
