Day-end sleep saving is so antiquated and aggravating. Sometimes, you need to step away, and in those cases you can either prematurely end your game day, or forfeit any progress you’ve made for that game day.
Silliness. Saving on demand is definitely something that should be heavily considered, I agree.
True, but that's the same with every game. Ultimately it's up to the player to use things like the save system as they see fit. Some people save scum, some don't. Doesn't mean the functionality shouldn't be there. Especially since avoiding consequences is not the primary function of manual saves, it's about giving players control over when to end their gaming session. Let's say I order food and play a bit before it arrives. As it is now I'd either have to go to bed ingame early, thus wasting the ingame day, or lose whatever progress I already made that ingame day. With manual saves, I'd just save and pick back up where I left off after my meal.
