Is this game better than Harvest Moon?

I guess it would depend on which harvest moon. Animal Parade? No way. Any of the 'new' Harvest Moon games that aren't real harvest moon games. Absolutely.

This game is pretty much a direct descendant of the original harvest moon games, so if you liked those, you'll probably like this.

Though do keep in mind that while this game is great it has only been released into early access little more than a month ago. Therefore it does have some bugs and is lacking content in a number of areas for the time being.

I like Harvest Moon more than this game, but it's because of the nostalic feeling that it brings *ME*. Coral Island has so much more to offer, so much more things to do.. it resembles more of Stardew Valley than Harvest Moon.. if you like SV, you're gonna like it.

There are so many HM/SoS games, it's hard to answer. I've played a fair number of HM games, and I enjoyed all of them (I have not played the new HM series though, only the Bokujou Monagatari games). I feel like this game has elements of many of those games as well as SDV and others, yet it still feels different from any of those.
