Winter crops?

I wanted to finish all my gifts for goddess, but there is now winter seeds in Sam's shop... Am I missing something? I found kale wgrowing wild, but whre do I find garlic and other things?

im sure this has been said before, but what town ranking are you? im sure someone said you have to be town rank C to get winter seeds?
so complete the two mines, donate bugs fish artifacts to the museum, dig up books on the beach and give them to the library, do the 20 coral diving things, do all the other goddess bundles and im sure you will be rank C if you have done all that not sure what else you can do to get to level C for the seeds to unlock

Oh, I see... thanks. I have D for sure, donating all bugs, completed two mines, did the coral things in ocean, other bundles are also completed. I didn't knew about the books on the beach... I'll search for them. And more fish, I don't like fishing much so did not donated much of them to the musem.

The problem is - even with knowing all these tipps, you need to be incredibly lucky with the chests, geodes and fishing - not to get too often duplicate of stuff to donate or trash and ressources instead of artifacts.

The first time I failed to get winter crops, because I didn't know I had to get them in fall, got the town to "C" in winter. This time I'll fail, because I am unlucky, even with knowing what to do.

That mechanic hopefully will be adjusted, so that one can get the first altar clear in the first year, without having too much to rely on pure luck.

Yeah, you're right. I failed first time before the bug with dissappearing tools, my sword gone forever. This time I failed like you, because for winter offerings you need fall crops (WTF?!). I think I'll wait for the full release...

Hopefully the will make this more clear in the future. I fully upgraded my hoe and spent a lot of the first half of autumn digging up the beach and paths, and I got A LOT of coffers (and lots of other goodies as well), so I was able to break that 100 items donated to the museum mark and hit C rank on the last possible day so that I'd have time to grow the crops for the offering.

garlic, watermelon, and fairy rose are actually a fall crop, you need to grow them in fall for the winter crop altar, may also need town C rank to unlock them cause that's what i had when they showed up in fall at Sam's

I've found about 8 books on the beach. I have my hoe leveled up to gold so I can clear a huge section every day.
